Grundisburgh Folk Dancers

We are a friendly folk dancing club. We meet every Monday evening* at Grundisburgh Village Hall from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The charge for the evening is just £2.00 (and zero for people coming along to their first evening!).

Our last meeting of 2025/26 will be on Monday, 10 August after which we shall break until Monday 7 September which will be our first meeting of 2026/27.

All dances are called. We dance a wide range of styles, eg, ceilidh or barn dance-type, Playford, Apted, and a lot of dances composed much more recently, many in these traditional styles, by, eg, Ron Coxall, Gary Roodman, Fried de Metz Herman and Charles Bolton. The emphasis is on getting through the dances and having fun! Most of the dances are fairly simple but we usually have one or two dances during the evening which are a bit more challenging!

From time to time we have live music (this year it has been roughly every 6 weeks) - watch this space for the next occasion!

*except on Public Holidays, the Christmas festive period and the second half of August
